Welcome to the Reading Tuesday 5 a side football league round-up for game week 1! The first matches of the new season were held at Prospect Park and 8 out of the 10 teams attended, making for an exciting start to the season.

The teams that attended were: CIUA, Reading Raptors, AFCB Legacy, Who Paid The Ref, Hardly Athletic, Jerry Hatricks, Madleine Milan and Paralympiacos. Unfortunately, Greek Lightning and GotNoKalou were absent from this week's action, but they will be returning next week.

In the first match of the season, CIUA played Reading Raptors. It was a high-scoring game, with CIUA coming out on top with a 7-4 victory. Next up, AFCB Legacy faced off against Who Paid The Ref, and AFCB Legacy proved to be too strong for their opponents, securing a dominant 14-4 win.

Hardly Athletic were up against Jerry Hatricks in the third game of the day. Hardly Athletic put on a dominant performance and came away with a convincing 9-2 win. The final match of the day was between Madleine Milan and Paralympiacos, which turned out to be a close affair. Madleine Milan managed to edge out their opponents, securing an 8-6 victory.

The league would like to thank all the teams for their commitment and reliability towards the league.
