In a thrilling week of competition, week 8 of the East Cowes Sunday 6 a side Football league played out last night, bringing some high-scoring action in the Premier League and Division 1.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, Win Or Booze made a dominant display, securing a resounding 15-6 victory over AC Me Rollin'. Despite the loss, AC Me Rollin's striker Steven Deakin proved himself to be an outstanding performer, netting a total of 4 goals. Deakin's scoring prowess has catapulted him to the top of the Premier League's goal charts, a remarkable achievement in such a competitive division.
DIVISION ONE
Over in Division 1, Palins Preds were edged out in a closely fought match against Khedira Pin Drop, with the final whistle leaving the score at 4-3. In another match, Muga V4 couldn't resist the offensive onslaught of Lucozade VI, who triumphed with a scoreline of 7-2. Division 1's top scorer of the night was Khedira Pin Drop's Rhys Brierley who added 2 more goals to his tally.
The standout player of the week, however, came from the ranks of Khedira Pin Drop, with Luke Warde earning the most valued player accolade for week 8. Warde's exceptional performance was crucial in securing Khedira Pin Drop’s victory, making him a player to watch in the final weeks of the league.
With just two weeks left of the season, the competition is heating up for the coveted league titles. Teams are urged to secure their place for the next season, guaranteeing another round of exciting football action.
