Monday 13th December - Stafford Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Stafford Monday 6 a side league this week, we did have a handful of teams cancel due to a lack of players, but Tekkerslovakia, Le Saux Solid Crew and Real Ale Madrid have all confirmed their returns this week coming on 20th December.

Team Green's lead at the top of the Premier Division table remains at three points, but they were made to work for the win this week as they met eight placed Ajax Trees, who they eventually edged past by a single goal.  Mark O Pirlo won by the same scoreline to stay in second place and keep up their title hopes.  The other league game between VCFC and Koch N Two Bales ended all square as the two shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw.

Girouds Baguette suffered a 3-2 reverse at the hands of newbies Croft Super 6's who pulled out a very impressive result.  However, Rowley Park FC could not close the gap on the Division One leaders, as they were beaten by another new team 5Akis, 1-0 the final scoreline.  99 Problems dropped to fourth place after suffering a 3-2 loss at the hands of seventh placed BTB FC.  Another new team to Division One, Not So Super League picked up a debut win as well, as they beat Its Going to Get Messi by a convincing 4-0 scoreline.  The standard of Division One appears to have improved with the addition of these sides which bodes well for an exciting remainder of the campaign.
