BUTLINS WRAP UP DIVISION ONE TITLE

We witnessed some great football last night at Ryde Academy as our penultimate round of games proved to be decisive in the title races. We had a few teams missing which is always disappointing, especially when we only find out on match day. No one wins when this happens, the missing team still need to pay, their opposition usually go without a game and a team on the waiting list misses the chance to have a game. The message really is that when ever possible, get your team sorted early and communicate with us in the days before your match if there is a player shortage, we can help you out and save you wasting money on games you aren't playing.

Last nights Prem Games saw a 12 - 4 win for Roverners in 4th place and a defiant 6 - 4 win for Kirbs Return to give them a lift ahead of next seasons Div One promotion push. Both Guns n Moses and Sat Fesh had points wins this week with Unathletico Madrid and Puyol Pants Down both missing in action. Sat Fesh have the title wrapped up but there is an exciting game next Thursday at the bottom with Goldies needing to beat Unathletico to keep their place in the top flight.

Division One saw a brilliant night for Butlins Bandits who secured the title with a well deserved win over Khedira Pin Drop. Josh Aspinall keeping up his brilliant season in front of goal with another fine hat-trick to confirm the title win. Khedira could still go up but Milfclarters hold the advantage now with a point lead following their impressive 9 - 2 win over Hants FC, Isaac Glynn doing the damage with some great long range strikes, he netted 5 as the young side push hard to play in the top flight next season. Old Stalwarts of the league Chamakh and Vectis Rovers met for the 1000th time and produced another epic contest. Vectis just coming out on top this time 7 - 6 with Sam Utteridge the main man on the night with 4 goals. Royal Mail-Drid put together a solid performance to take the points in a lively game against Grand Theft Porto, shout out to ref Pete for handling this one so calmly and well done to both teams for putting up a great battle. 8 - 4 to Royal Mail in the end but it was a closer game than the score sheet shows.

Big thanks to everyone for getting involved this week. Time to start thinking about the new season and who's playing where, if for any reason your team isn't carrying on i need to know this week as the two week notice period still counts ahead of the new season.

Have a good week guys, good luck for the season finale next Thursday.
