Goldies beat Geezas at Ryde Thursday 6 a side

There were upsets in both divisions last night at our Ryde Thursday 6 a side league at Ryde Academy as the leaders both lost. All teams attended apart from Roverners who couldn't raise a side however thank you for letting us know even at late notice and getting your match fee paid on time, much appreciated.

So it was Goldies who caused an upset in the Premier League as they won a great game littered with goals at both ends against Geezas. The final score 11-7 to Goldies, Harrison Taylor with 6 while Jamie Dyer scored 4 and Jordan Sparks chipped in with one for Goldies which gives them a fighting chance of staying up. East Ryde Massive were able to close the gap to Geezas to two points with a points match win due to Roverners being away. Netsix & Chill also climbed to third and three points behind the leaders as they beat Scouting For Goals 4-3. Finally Sat Fesh FC won a close contest with Butlins Bandits 2-1. Bandits survived on the last day of the season but looks like they will be heading back to Div 1 this time round.

There were upsets throughout Div 1 as the leaders Ryde Rovers went down 3-2 to Vectis Rovers who had Gaz Scott-Jackson to thank for banging in a hat-trick. The win puts Vectis right back into the promotion picture after Chamakh My Pitch Up failed to take advantage of Ryde Rovers slip up as they lost 3-1 to Ashton Villa III. Getting On A Bit lifted themselves off the bottom of the table with a good 6-2 victory against Cool Runnings. Chris Cole scoring a hat-trick while Danny Murphy, Spike and Keenan Goldsmith also put the ball in the back of the net. Finally Going Toulouse returned to the league after being away last week to win a entertaining match with Class On Ash, unfortunately for Ash the defeat see's them slip to the bottom of the table. They will be aiming to lift themselves back off the bottom next week when they meet Getting On A Bit.

Thank you to all our teams along with Jukesy, Calum and Nick. See you all next week!
