Ryde Rovers FC go top of Div 1 at Ryde Thursday 6 a side

Match reports are back for Ryde Thursday 6 a side after a short break away in North Wales. Good to be back and catch up on the latest results and tables although the hot weather, Zip World and white water rafting were amazing, would definitely recommend a visit.

Looks like Geezas Return have truly found their rhythm over the last couple of weeks as they followed up last weeks big win over Roverners with another one against Butlins Bandits 10-1. The win see's them open up a 4 point advantage at the top of the Premier League after second place Scouting For Goals went down to a 5-3 defeat to Sat Fesh FC, Paddy O'Meara and Matt Woolford both hit braces while captain KJ Warrington also registered for Sat Fesh. Scouting captain Dan Bonner found himself on the scoresheet as he added to Brad Austin's double. Goldies clawed a couple of points back in their big to avoid the drop with a 4-2 win against third from bottom Roverners while a nine goal thriller saw Netsix & Chill come out on top 5-4 against East Ryde Massive.

We have new leaders in Div 1 as Ryde Rovers FC finally hit the summit with a comfortable 8-1 win over Class On Grass. Spike Pearce banged in 4 goals while Kieran Sanderson hit a hat-trick. This allowed Rovers to climb to the top as there was an upset in one of the other fixtures with previous leaders Chamakh My Pitch Up going down 6-4 to bottom side Getting On A Bit, a fantastic win for the home team. The goalscorers were Chris Cole 2, Keenan Goldsmith 2, Danny Murphy and Clarke Bowerman. New boys to the Ryde league Ashton Villa III put in a excellent display despite going down 5-3 to Vectis Rovers. Vectis sharing the goals round with Gaz Scott-Jackson, Tony Pearce, Chris Joliffe, Sam Utteridge and Ryan Godley all finding the back of the net to seal the victory. Finally Going Toulouse were away this week so Cool Runnings had a points match win. Thank you to Butlins for staying on.

Big thank you to all our teams and our refs Jukesy, Nick and Calum. See you all next week for match day 10.
