In a riveting week of football, the Ryde Thursday 6-a-side Football League entered its 9th week, with stellar performances on display in both the Premier League and Division 1.
PREMIER LEAGUE
In the Premier League, Crown FC made an impressive show against Margy's Betas, scoring an imposing 6-1 win. Brad Austin from Crown FC shone especially bright, bagging the coveted Most Valued Player of the week. His performance was instrumental in securing their significant victory.
However, the highest-scoring game in the Premier League was between The No Diving Zone and Doter Returns, with the latter securing a remarkable victory by netting 11 goals to The No Diving Zone's 5. Zak Sullivan of Doter Returns emerged as the top scorer of the division, with a commendable four goals to his name.
DIVISION ONE
Over in Division 1, the matches were equally intense. Vectis Rovers and Double Pogba And Koke served up a goal fest, with the former emerging victorious with an outstanding score of 10-4. Meanwhile, the match between 99 Problems But A Pitch Ain’t One and Khedira Pin Drop III ended in a tie, with each team scoring two goals.
Top performing player in Division 1 was Ollie Hammond of Youth Offending Team, who managed to net two goals for his squad. Despite the team's 2-5 loss to Diabetico Madrid, Hammond's individual performance was a standout.
The 9th week of the Ryde Thursday 6-a-side Football League delivered high-octane action with a plethora of goals, impressive teamwork and individual brilliance. Fans will be eagerly awaiting the 10th week, where the teams will take to the field again, seeking glory.
