Ryde Thursday 6 a side Season Ends

Last night's Ryde Thursday football league was nothing short of exhilarating, with some intense matches taking place in both the Premier League and Division 1 to round of what has been an amazing season at Ryde Academy.

In the Premier League, Roverners and Milfclarters UTD went head to head in a thrilling match that saw Milfclarters UTD edge out their opponents with a final score of 7 - 6 which secures a brilliant 3rd place for the talented Milfclarters side. Sat Fesh FC knew they were champions before we arrived last night and they also had a great game, with a 7 - 4 victory over Ryde Rovers FC who end 4th on their return to the league. Puyol Pants Down faced MoLeicesters in what turned out to be another high-scoring match, with MoLeicesters confirming their 2nd placed finish with a 7 - 4 win. Team Best Friends put on a dominant display against Hardly Athletic, winning 6 - 1. Hardly, who only returned to the legue in the final weeks of the season will join Roverners in Division One for next season.

Division 1 was equally exciting, with Khedira Pin Drop III beating Grand Theft Porto 5 - 3 in a closely contested match. Vectis Rovers secured a 3 - 1 win over Royal Mail-drid, while Goldies confirmed their promotion with a masterclass performance to record a 10 - 1 victory over The Mighty View. Kirbs Return go up as league champions and also had a fantastic last game in this division. They beat Chamakh My Pitch Up 12 - 5 in another thrilling game

So the season wraps up with Harry Scott taking home the golden boot for his 29 goals for Moleicesters while Jamie Dyer picks up the Division One prize with 31 goals for his promoted Goldies team. Well played also to Brad Austin of champions Sat Fesh who's efforts are rewarded with the MVP trophy having been made MotM 5 times.

Thank you to Pete, Nick, Josh and Passa for doing a great job on the whistles this season, we look forward to starting again with the new campaign on Thursday 22nd June following a weeks break for the IOW Festival.
