Ryde Thursday 6 a side - WEEK 7 ROUND UP

Play in the Ryde Thursday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

In the Ryde Thursday 6 a side Football league, week 7 showcased the dark horse's true might on the field. The Premier League division teams put up a spectacle that could be talked about for seasons to come.

First up, we had Hardly Athletic go head to head with Chamakh My Pitch Up. Hardly Athletic showed their brute strength and superior tactics by thrashing Chamakh My Pitch Up with a staggering score of 12-3. Brad Austin was in typical goal scoring form with 5 for Hardly Athletic, matched by team mate Kyle Follows to cement his place at the top of the golden boot race. This win firmly places Hardly Athletic at the top of the division but with two tough games to come it's definitely going to be an exciting title run if for the leaders.

Hot on the tails of Hardly Athletic are Crown FC who dominated The Mighty View last night with a decisive 8-1 victory. They maintained a forceful offensive stance throughout the match, keeping The Mighty View on the backfoot and maintaining their own title push in the process.

On the other pitch, the match between Khedira Pin Drop III and Vectis Rovers was a nail-biter. With both teams putting on a display of exemplary teamwork, Vectis Rovers managed to secure a narrow win with a score of 5-4 but both teams deserve huge credit for such an intense game. Ryan Cleary stood out for Khedira with two goals but his team leave empty handed this week.

Manchester Obe City fell to Cereal Wimmers FC in a high scoring final match of the night. It finished 7-4 to give Wimmers their 1st taste of victory. Two goals each for Steven Thorpe and Elliot Apter secured the win and showed why Cereal Wimmers could be a force to be reckoned with in the Premier League division.

As the season draws to a close with just two weeks left, it's evident that the competition is heating up. This is the time for teams to bring their A Games and secure their place for the next season.

Stay tuned for more updates as we approach the climax of the Ryde Thursday 6 a side Football league.
