THURSDAY NIGHT 6 A SIDE ROUND UP

We were blessed with another night of heavy showers last night at Ryde Academy as our players embarked on the latest round of 6 a side games. Sat Fesh and Ryde Galacticos both kept up their winning starts to the season while Roverners strong start continued with a great point against last seasons runners up Guns N Moses. Sam Higgin was the main man for the champions Sat Fesh as he netted a hattrick in their 6 - 3 win over Unathletico Madrid while Ryde Galacticos had a brilliant game against Goldies who put up some great resistance and would argue they deserved more from the game but unfortunately for them it was Galacticos that took the points 7 - 4. It's two wins in a row for Puyol Pants Down as they climb to mid table with solid 9 - 4 score line against Kirbs Return. James Craven and Harry Starling scoring 4 each for the former champions.

Division One saw a 1st win for new side Hants FC who had 4 goals from Kieran Hartnell to thank for the win against Grand Theft Porto. Chamakh climb the table with an excellent 5 - 3 win over Khedira Pin Drop, Owen Miller finding his scoring boots with 2 while Harry Scott put in another notable performance for Khedira and also scored twice. There was a 1st win for Royal Mail Drid too as they got the better of Butlins Bandits in a tight game that went right to the wire. Josh Aspinall scored a hattrick for Butlins but it wasn't enough with Royal Mail running out 5 - 4 winners in the end. Vectis Rovers couldn't follow up on last weeks win as they faced table toppers Milfclarters Utd. Jack McCallum and Luca Wallis were in the goals again for the Milfs to take the win 6 - 4 with Tony Pearce's hattrick for Vectis giving them something to cheer on a damp night.

Big thanks to everyone for being there, especially our officials Pete and Nick for doing a stella job as always. Hopefully we might get a dryer night next week as we take on round 4 of matches.

Have a good week guys.
