6 a side at it's best last night at our Sandown league

A fantastic night of 6 a side football at our Sandown league last night with 3 closely fought matches.

The most dramatic of the night had to be the match between Jakes Meathead FC and league leaders She Was Only XI. Trailing 3-2 She Was Only XI turned it round to lead 4-3 going into the final minute. However with the game looking over Meathead turned it round with two late goals including a fantastic strike for the winner to secure a 5-4 victory in dramatic fashion. A great competitive game but played in good spirit from both sides which was good to see. Despite the defeat She Was Only XI remain top on goal difference and are still favourite's for the title.

Up into second spot are Hogs Legends who came through their own dramatic match with the scoring going from one end to the other but with Hogs eventually getting the better of a much improving Green Army side 8-7. Unfortunately for Deportivo Lacafitness they dropped to 3rd place after one of their players didn't arrive meaning they had to play with 5 against Invincibles. Despite this they did put in a battling performance but went down 6-2 meaning they couldn't take advantage of She Was Only XI's loss but do remain in touch.
