Sandown Monday 6 a side NEW SEASON KICKS OFF
Our thrilling Monday night 6-a-side league in Sandown restarted a new campaign last night and what a performance we saw from all our teams.
In the Premier League, one of the highlights of the evening was undoubtedly the nail-biting clash between Unreal Madrid II and JJ FC. The game was decided by a razor-thin margin, with JJ FC emerging victorious with a 4 - 3 score, the champions pushed hard on week one of their title defence. In another eye-catching premier league performance we saw No More Cap FC dismantle The Bees Knees with an astounding 16 - 4 victory to make them the early pace setters in what looks like being a highly competitive division. The game of the night though has to be the battle between Sat Fesh FC and Oompas Magic which remained tense throughout before ended in a high-scoring 8-8 draw. An absolute classic for the neutrals and a nail biter for those involved. If this is how the season is going to be, we are in for quite a spectacle of 6 a side football.
Over in Division 1 the action was just as exciting as Westys Wanderers fell 1 - 3 to Eye Of The Tiger, thanks in part to a tidy brace from the evergreen Gavin Dicker while Simply Sixtoes were narrowly edged out 0 - 2 by Khedira Pin Drop II to start their promotion charge on the right foot
The adrenaline-filled opening week is just the beginning of what promises to be an enthralling season, with teams looking to seize early momentum in the race for the top spot in their respective divisions.
We are already building teams to add a new division to this league which we will do as soon as we have enough to do so, typically interest came in after the fixtures were confirmed but we just need one more to get started with Division Two.
