Lavvy 6's Champions of Salisbury

In the riveting climax of the Salisbury Monday six-a-side Football league, the final whistle of week 13 marked the end of an intensely fought season. The competition, packed with athleticism and strategic brilliance, once again showcased the robust spirit of local football.

The final week of matches in Division 1 brought some impressive results and standout performances. Backyard UTD blazed an impressive trail with a 5-2 victory over Petra FC, headlined by the scintillating play of Billy Budgell, who was named the week's most valued player. His exemplary skills not only propelled his team to victory but also won him accolades among his peers.

The match between Lads And Dads and Man Titty turned into a goal fest, with Man Titty bagging 14 goals against 3. Dad Bods and Pumbappes Snow Bunnies also brought their A-game, with the latter taking the win with a score of 7-1. SCS All Stars shone bright in their match against Brazilliant, winning the fixture 7-3. Beme Vets and The Goofy Slugs locked horns in a closely fought match, with Beme Vets emerging victorious with a 5-3 score. Elite FC rounded off the week with a solid win against Winless FC, securing a 5-2 victory.

The top scorer this week was MCLAIR from Backyard UTD, who displayed an exceptional performance scoring a total of 4 goals. His brilliant contribution played a vital role in securing Backyard UTD's satisfactory standing in the league.

Rising above the competition and taking the laurels in Division 1, Lavvy 6s showed why they were the team to beat this season. With a total of 24 points and 12 wins from 13 games, they inevitably took the top spot, with a 2 point lead over Pumbappes Snow Bunnies who have to settle for the runners up place with both teams displaying consistent performances throughout the league season.

Finishing the season as our top goal scorer is none other than Seb Osmond of Pumbappers Snow Bunnies who's 23 goals played a huge part in the success of his team in finishing 2nd in the league.

Meanwhile the season MVP prize is shared between Jake Budgell (Lavvy 6's) and Nick Lloyd (SCS All Stars) who were both given 5 MotM awards by the officials this season. Congratulations to them both.

As the exciting season of the Salisbury Monday six-a-side Football league concludes, we look forward to the return of this dynamic competition with eager anticipation for the future clashes and footballing brilliance. For the new season we will revert to a two divisional set up with one new team confirmed and hopefully more to follow we will re-introduce promotion and relegation as the league continues to go from strength to strength.
