New Salisbury Monday 6 a side season kicks off!

The Salisbury Monday 6-a-side Football league roared into action last week, marking the beginning of what promises to be a thrilling season. Amidst the fierce competition, the standout performers of the Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2 were Eben Burton, Kylan Noonan, and Kieran Jessep-Crook, respectively.

PREMIER LEAGUE

In the Premier League, Elite FC dominated their opening match against SDH Ultras, triumphing with an astounding 13-0 victory. Eben Burton led the scoring with an impressive six goals, propelling him to the top of the league's scoring charts. Other notable matches included Sam N Kids narrowly beating Balatasaray 6s 1-0, Injury FC edging out Salisbury Scrotums 2-1, and reigning champions Lavvy 6s securing a comfortable 4-0 win against Net Six And Chill.

DIVISION ONE

Division 1 saw an equally thrilling start, with Python6s defeating Pathetico Madrid 10-1 while Ball Busters outperforming Barely Athletic with a 7-1 victory. However, the highest scoring game of the division was The Goofy Slugs' 12-1 demolition of No Pace Just Grace, with Kylan Noonan netting an incredible eight goals for his team. Winless also got off to a winning start as they beat 50 Shade O'Shea 3-1.

DIVISION TWO

In Division 2, Boscombe On Me showcased their skill by defeating Queens Park Strangers 8-2, largely due to Kieran Jessep-Crook's hat-trick, earning him the top scorer title. Meanwhile, Gateway FC started strong with a 3-0 win over Boys In Black, and Team 1 secured a 7-3 victory against RIP On FC while Lads and Dads shared the points with Dad Bods after a 1-1 draw.

Adam Davies, from Winless FC, earned the week's Most Valued Player title, highlighting his crucial role in the team's 3-1 victory over 50 Shades O'Shea. As the season progresses, we will be keen to see if these players and teams can maintain their early momentum.
