Salisbury Monday 6 a side - NEW SEASON UNDERWAY

The Salisbury Monday League kicked off its new season last night, with teams across Division 1 showing impressive performances.

Following an extended Christmas break we were delighted to welcome our teams back to launch a brand new, 14 team league last night with even the freezing temperatures and snow on the ground not stopping our players from dusting off their boots and getting stuck into week one of the campaign.
In a high scoring match, Winless FC faltered and lost to Backyard UTD 7-1, while The Goofy Slugs utterly dominated Barely Athletic with a stunning 10-1 victory. Elsewhere, SCS All Stars pulled off a thrilling 8-6 win against Beme Vets. Brazilliant edged past Pumbappes Snow Bunnies with a tight score of 2-1. Man Titty started the season strong, shutting out Dad Bods 4-0. Pique Blinders outplayed Lads And Dads with a 6-2 score, and Lavvy 6s proved to be a formidable force against Petra FC, scoring ten goals with none conceded.

The scoring chart for Division 1 was led by SCS All Stars’ striker, Nick Lloyd, who netted an outstanding four goals. His exceptional performance didn’t go unnoticed and he’s certainly one to watch this season.
However, the most valued player of the week was AJ Davis from The Goofy Slugs. Davis showed great skill and leadership on the pitch, contributing significantly to his team's whopping 10-1 win. His display of technical ability and tactical understanding of the game was second to none.
As the season has just begun, it will be interesting to see if these early results set the tone for the rest of the campaign. All teams will undoubtedly be looking to build on their performances and make their mark in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for more exciting football action from the Salisbury Monday League's Division 1.
