In the recent Salisbury Monday 6-a-side Football league, teams across all three divisions laid it all out on the pitch in the 8th week of a thrilling season. With only two weeks left, teams are battling it for top spots and securing their place for the upcoming season.
Division 1
Rahman Ali of Elite FC emerged as the top scorer of the week, netting a total of three goals. Lavvy 6s turned heads with a smashing 6-2 victory against Big Mac Tacklers, asserting their prowess on the field. The fervor didn't stop there, as SCS All Stars clinched a nail-biting 4-3 win over The Goofy Slugs.
Division 2
Anthony Vijayanathan became the toast of the town, scoring a brilliant goal for SDH Ultras. It was an exciting day in the league with Dad Bods and 50 Shades O Shea sharing the spoils in a 3-3 draw while Lads and Dads registered a 3-1 victory over Winless FC. Queens Park Strangers fell short against SDH Ultras, ending with a scoreline of 2-1 in Ultras' favor.
Division 3
Had its fair share of exhilarating football. Oliver Taylor of Team 1 stole the show, scoring a whopping five goals. Sam N Kids triumphed over Blenders United with an 8-5 win, while Team 1 narrowly edged out Deans Boys with a 5-4 victory. Balatasaray 6s held their own against Boscombe On Me, finishing with a score of 2-0.
Ben Spinney of 50 Shades O Shea was awarded the title of Most Valued Player of the week, adding another feather to his team's cap. With two weeks left in the season, the competition is heating up, and teams are gearing up to secure their place for the next season.
