The Salisbury Monday six-a-side football league delivered some thrilling football on Week 3, with notable performances from teams and players across all divisions.
DIVISION ONE
In Division 1, SCS All Stars showcased their prowess with a 5-0 victory against Elite FC. Sam N Kids followed suit with a spectacular 15-1 win against Lads And Dads. Lavvy 6s also made their mark with an impressive 8-1 triumph over No Pace Just Grace. Jack Vincent from Lavvy 6s emerged as the top scorer in Division 1, netting an outstanding seven goals, a testament to his skill and determination.
DIVISION TWO
Division 2 saw The Goofy Slugs impress with a 6-0 win against 50 Shades O Shea. SRC also made their presence felt with a 6-1 victory over Winless FC. In a closely contested match, Sporting FDC drew 1-1 against Balatasaray 6s, while Python6s secured a 4-2 victory against Gateway FC. AJ Davis from The Goofy Slugs emerged as the top scorer in Division 2, netting three goals.
DIVISION THREE
In Division 3, a thrilling match between Queens Park Strangers and Blenders United ended in a 6-6 draw. Cabin Fever managed to squeeze a 1-0 victory against Team 1. Deans Boys secured a 3-2 win against Boscombe On Me, while Boys In Black defeated Dad Bods 5-3. The top scorer in Division 3 was Kieran Pearce from Queens Park Strangers with three goals.
The highlight of the week, however, was the exceptional performance by AJ Davis of The Goofy Slugs. His superb play and the three goals he scored earned him the title of the Most Valued Player of the week.
As we look forward to Week 4, the excitement continues to build in the Salisbury Monday Football League. The thrilling performances and the fierce competition promises an exciting season ahead.
