It was a fantastic evening of 6-a-side football at Shrewsbury Leisure Leagues on Monday which saw all teams in attendance as scheduled.
In the Premier League division, the matches were intensely fought and filled with feats of skill and strategy. Buzzards emerged victorious against Masala FC with a scoreline of 3-1, while KFC triumphed over Verve FC with the same margin. Goals Aloud fought a winning battle against Gooners, finishing 3-0, and Gen Z played a tightly contested match against Hardly Athletic, which ended in a 2-2 draw. The Premier League's top scorer, Harry Astley from Goals Aloud, demonstrated his mettle with an impressive tally of 2 goals.
Meanwhile, in Division 1, the spirit of competition was equally high. SouthSide Rednexs clinched an exciting 6-2 win against CR7DALE, whereas Straw Hats prevailed over Ellesmere Rangers with a 5-2 victory. Wetherspoons Wanderers edged out Halfway Wanderers 2-1, and FC Shrewbacca secured a narrow 3-2 win against Grange R Us. The most notable player in this division was Tyler from SouthSide Rednexs who scored 2 goals, hence earning him the top scorer title for the week.
