The much-anticipated Shrewsbury Monday 6 a side Football league kicked off with a bang last night, with football enthusiasts witnessing exciting matches across two divisions, Premier League and Division 1.

In the Premier League, a total of four matches took place. KFC made a stunning start to the season, beating Buzzards 2-1 in an intense battle. Goals Aloud also had an impressive start, defeating Gen Z 2-0. They showcased impressive team play and capitalized on their chances. WBS FC kicked off their campaign with a 4-2 victory against Hardly Athletic, while SouthSide Rednexs outplayed Straw Hats with a 4-1 victory. The first week's standout performer was Tyler, who netted a total of three goals for SouthSide Rednexs, leading the top scorer's list after week 1.

In Division 1, Gooners fell to a 4-1 defeat against Wetherspoons Wanderers, while Ellesmere Rangers lost 5-3 to CR7DALE in a high-scoring thriller. Verve FC outperformed FC Shrewbacca with a 4-1 victory, and Halfway Wanderers started on a winning note by defeating Grange R Us 4-2. The spotlight was stolen by Ben of CR7DALE, who netted an impressive five goals to lead the top scorer's chart in Division 1.
