In the exciting world of local football, last night marked the second week of the Shrewsbury Monday 6-a-side Football League with a series of thrilling matches taking place.

In the Premier League division, Tekkerslovakia put on a dominant show, trouncing Ellesmere Rangers with a commanding 8-2 victory. The star of the night was Jake, who fired home four goals for Tekkerslovakia, earning him the title of top scorer in the Premier League division for the week. Elsewhere in the division, Hardly Athletic overcame KFC with a hard-fought 3-1 win, while Livin Saliba Loca squeaked past Goals Aloud in a narrow 2-1 triumph. Ending the night on a high note was Top Of The League, who defeated Straw Hats with a robust 5-2 performance.

In Division 1, Jacks XI Lovers vanquished Halal Madrid 5-2, thanks to a dazzling effort from the entire team. A closely fought match between Grange R Us and Real Ale Madrid ended in a 2-2 draw, demonstrating the competitive spirit of the players. Wrapping up the night was Wayne Gooney FC, who crushed Wetherspoons Wanderers 4-1. The standout player in Division 1 was Luke Mason from Wayne Gooney FC, who netted 2 goals, earning him the accolade of top scorer for the division.
