Play in the Shrewsbury Monday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

The Shrewsbury Thursday 6-a-side football league kicked off its new season with a bang, featuring exhilarating matches in both the Premier League and Division 1. We were delighted to welcome so many new teams to the league!

In the Premier League, WEMERDALE made a roaring start to their campaign by securing a decisive 5-1 victory against Magpies On Tour. 

The encounter between Mo Leicester and Buzzards ended in a 3-3 deadlock. Both teams displayed remarkable resilience and neither side could secure the decisive goal even after a thrilling display of football.

The final Premier League match saw a closely fought contest between OBL FC and Inter Ya Nan, with the latter managing to squeak out a narrow 2-1 victory. The match was a true testament to the competitive spirit in the league.

On the other hand, Division 1 displayed its own set of thrilling matches. Masala FC started the season off with a sweeping 6-1 victory against ABP FC. The team showed great attacking prowess and emerged as the early pace-setters.

In another Division 1 match, The Foxy Boys outplayed AFC SHREWBACCA by securing a commanding 5-2 win. The Foxy Boys demonstrated their high-scoring capability and could be a team to watch this season. Bayern Choonich return to competitive action next week!
