In a splendid start to the Shrewsbury Thursday 6-a-side Football League season, the Premier League Division kicked off with a series of competitive and high-scoring games.
The first night of the season ended with Buzzards delivering a decisive 4-1 victory over WEMERDALE, setting a strong precedent for future matches.
Likewise, Grief Athletic dominated their match against Super Sonic FC, claiming a similar 4-1 victory that has set the tone for their season. Not to be outdone, Masala FC also secured a 4-1 victory over Real Supersonic Fc, demonstrating that this year’s competition is shaping up to be a fierce showdown.
However, the most notable performance of the evening came from Net Six And Chill who outscored Mo Leicester 5-2. Their star player, Charlie Loughnane, was the standout performer of the night, netting four goals in the season opener. Loughnane now leads the Premier League Division in scoring.
Over in the Division 1 league, The Foxy Boys struggled in their opening match, losing 2-0 to ABP FC. However, the highlight of the night was Magpies On Tour who dismantled AFC SHREWBACCA with a convincing 8-0 victory. Magpies On Tour's Tate emerged as the leading scorer in Division 1 with a total of three goals.
Kroos Control managed a 4-1 win over Openda Legs, while in the battle of the debutants Skibidi Squad X and MSFC ended their match in a 2-2 draw.
As the season has just begun, it's still all to play for in the Shrewsbury Thursday 6-a-side Football League. Supporters and teams alike are waiting eagerly to see how the rest of the season unfolds.
