It was a great evening of action at Shrewsbury Leisure Leagues on Thursday which saw all teams in attendance as scheduled.
In the Premier League division, WEMERDALE made a statement with a convincing 4-0 victory over Buzzards. MMH FC also left a lasting impression, outclassing Grief Athletic 4-1. Masala FC and The Supersonic FC played out a nail-biter, with Masala edging out a 3-2 win. In the highest scoring match of the division, Net Six And Chill triumphed over Mo Leicester 6-3.
Thomas Devonport of Mo Leicester emerged as the Premier League's top scorer of the week, netting two goals in an otherwise disappointing match for his team. His skill on the pitch, however, proves the team's potential for a turnaround in the coming weeks.
Switching focus to Division 1, the football frenzy continued with ABP FC securing a 4-2 victory over The Foxy Boys. Magpies On Tour squeaked past AFC SHREWBACCA in a low-scoring 1-0 encounter. Openda Legs managed to outscore Goal Diggers 3-1, while MSFC demonstarted their dominance by besting Skibidi Squad X 5-2.
The star player in Division 1 was Tyler of ABP FC, who bagged an impressive total of three goals, stamping his mark on the league standing as the top scorer for the week.
We wish all teams the very best of luck for next week!
