Monday 10th June - Worcester Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Monday 6 a side league this week overall, with all teams in attendance throughout the night across all divisions, the only exception being a second cancellation in a row from What Team Name, who have now been removed.  We welcome new team 2 Goals 1 Cup to the league as a replacement for them and wish these good luck going into their debut game on Monday 17th June.

In the Premier League, Phoenix edged out Brap FC 3-2 in a nail-biter, while Pickle Pinchers managed to squeak past Daddy Ben with a 3-2 victory. CWLC FC and Texas Oldham played out a thrilling match, with CWLC just managing to secure the win with a 3-2 scoreline.

Division 1 also had its fair share of action and excitement. Class On Artificial Grass clinched a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Monner Athletic. Salty Sea-Men showcased their skills with a commanding 5-2 win against Inter Ya Nan. Full Kit Yankers managed to pull off a 2-1 win over Woodgreen FC, while GSE and Sporting Abeergut battled it out to a 0-0 draw, demonstrating some solid defensive performances.

In Division 2, Pepe Pig claimed a slim 1-0 victory over Backstreet Moyes. Purkinje Fibres dominated their match against Gully Boys, coming out on top with a resounding 5-0 win. Real SoSoBad and Exeter Gently treated fans to a goal-fest, with the former emerging victorious in an 8-goal thriller, winning 5-3. Meanwhile, Chunk And The 7 Dwarves and Unathletico Madrid played out a 2-2 draw, in what proved to be a closely contested match.
