Monday 11th August - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Monday 6 a side league overall, with the only disappointment being a non-attendance from Weatherbeaver who have now been removed from the league.

In the Premier League division, Phoenix emerged victorious with a 1-0 win against Salty Sea-Men, in a game filled with intense moments and an impressive defense by Phoenix. This win puts Phoenix in a strong position moving into the next rounds. Meanwhile, Daddy Ben delivered a strong performance with a 2-0 victory against Woodgreen FC, showcasing a solid attack strategy and excellent teamwork throughout the game.

Over in Division 1, the competition was fierce. We Lose Evra Week beat Monner United 2-1 in a thrilling match that kept spectators on the edge of their seats. Is Your Motherwell and SJL 6s battled to a 1-1 draw, a testament to the evenly matched skills of both teams. Full Kit Yankers narrowly clinched victory with a 1-0 win against GSE. Monner Athletic managed a 3-2 win against Pepe Pig, in a game that had supporters of both teams holding their breaths until the final whistle.

In Division 2, the clash between UTR FC and The Salt Men ended in a 2-2 stalemate, leaving both teams hungry for a win in their upcoming games. Unathletico Madrid, however, put up a stunning display by thrashing Unathletico Bilbao 10-0, marking one of the biggest wins of the season so far.
