Monday 11th September - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Monday 6 a side league once again this week, as we saw all 24 teams attend their matches across the three divisions, and some entertaining games played throughout the night!

In the Premier League division, Phoenix rose to an impressive 4-0 victory over Châteauneuf-du-Pape, demonstrating their dominance on the field. Meanwhile, Athletico Pathetico outclassed Pickle Pinchers with a resounding 5-1 win. Sporting Abeergut couldn't keep up the pace against Class On Artificial Grass, who emerged victorious with a 5-2 scoreline and stay top of the pile with a game to play. The highlight of the evening's Premier League fixtures was the electrifying clash between What Team Name and Clash Of Dudes, which saw the latter narrowly secure a 6-4 victory.

In Division 1, Inside England V2 turned up the heat defeating Crouch Potato 3-1, while Salty Sea-Men sailed to a 4-1 triumph over Monner Athletic. A closely contested match saw Texas Oldham edge past Inter Ya Nan with a 2-1 score, and Woodgreen FC defeated Daddy Ben 1-0 in a gritty display of determination.

Division 2 saw a whirlwind of action with CWLC FC demolishing Chunk And The 7 Dwarves 7-0, and Madeline Milan dismantling Backstreet Moyes with a 7-1 scoreline. Scoregasm achieved a commendable 3-1 win over Indra, and Unathletico Madrid was left in the dust by Full Kit Yankers who scored an astonishing 10 goals without reply.

We thank all teams for their continued commitment and reliability towards the league which ensures we run smoothly and to time on a weekly basis.  We wish all teams good luck heading into the final game of the campaign, ahead of the new season which will get underway on Monday 25th September!
