Monday 14th March - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was another excellent evening's football in the Worcester Monday 6 a side league this week, with all 24 teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some entertaining football played across all three divisions.

Phoenix continue their unbeaten start to the campaign, as they brushed past Tics on Toure by a 4-1 scoreline, a result which sees Tics drop to third place after Gateshead United were 5-2 winners over Crouch Potatoes.  Shamgwop Rovers got back to winning ways after their defeat last week, and did so in style, they were rampant 9-0 winners over Route One Rovers.

Division One remains congested at the top, and a 3-2 defeat for Greyhound against saw them drop from top to third, one of the teams who overtook them was this weeks opponents Rodallega Bombs who climb to second.  Goals Aloud now lead the way after a 3-1 win over ABCDE FC whilst Bendtner Over moved up to fourth spot after a hefty 11-3 win over We Lose Evra Week.  Fifth placed Who Ate All Depays sit only three points off the leaders following their 3-1 win over Inter Ya Nan who remain in the relegation spaces.

Division Two Hayleybeanieboys show no signs of letting up as they cruised to a 3-0 win over Nomers this week, although General Sports Enthusiasts won't let them escape their grasp, they also won their fifth game on the spin, edging past an improving Malvern Massive 2-1.  Rybrook Raiders sit in third place and moved three points clear of fourth placed Plunger and Superglue who they beat 4-1 this week.  Balt-J FC won the battle of the pointless teams this week as they recorded their first win of the campaign, beating bottom of the table Gerry Hat Tricks 3-1.

Good luck to all teams going into the next round of fixtures with Worcester's premier small sided football providers!
