Monday 15th January - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night for the season opener and some well competed matches played across all three divisions.

The Premier League division saw thrilling encounters with Phoenix edging out Daddy Ben 2-1 in a nail-biting contest. Athletico Pathetico eked out a 1-0 triumph over What Team Name while Châteauneuf-du-Pape bagged a 2-1 victory against Monday Knights. The Sporting Abeergut team dominated the pitch, defeating Class On Artificial Grass with a comfortable 3-0 scoreline.

In Division 1, CWLC FC secured a 2-1 win over Salty Sea-Men while Crouch Potato emerged victorious against Inter Ya Nan, winning 2-1. Texas Oldham narrowly beat Woodgreen FC with a 1-0 final score, and Pepe Pig and Full Kit Yankers battled to a goalless draw.

Hard-fought matches were the order of the day in Division 2, with Hardly Athletic overcoming Chunk And The 7 Dwarves 3-2. Monner Athletic edged out Uow Futsal 2, winning 2-1, while GSE outscored Indra 3-0. In a stellar performance, Unathletico Madrid shut out Backstreet Moyes 2-0.
