Monday 20th February - Worcester Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Monday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled across the division.

Chateuneuf Du-Pape lead the Premier Division after inflicting a first defeat in eight games on What Team Name who they beat convincingly 5-0.  Phoenix made it a second win in a row as they won a seven goal thriller against Clash of Dudes by 4 goals to 3, whilst Sporting a Beergut are another team on four points from three games, cruising to a 4-1 win over Woodgreen FC.  Greyhound complete the list of five teams level on points thanks to a 1-0 win against General Sports Enthusiasts who they edged past.

In Division One, Class on Artificial Grass show no sign of let up as they made it three wins in a row, beating Unathletico Madrid by a handsome 6-0 scoreline, they are joined on maximum points by Pickle Pinchers who were 5-0 winners over Crouch Potatoes.  Salty Sea-Men got their second win and remain unbeaten thus far as they collected a 5-2 win over Visionary FC who didn't see that coming, whilst Texas Oldham completed the action with a 6-0 victory over Unathletico Madrid.

Daddy Ben look good value for a return to Division One at this stage as they claimed a third win on the spin in Division Two, beating Malvern Massive 3-0 in a disciplined performance.  Full Kit Yankers recovered from last week's defeat to claim a 6-1 triumph over Indra to move up to second spot.  Monner Athletic got off the mark for the season with a 2-0 victory against Plunger & Superglue, as did Chunk and the Seven Dwarves who won an eight goal thriller over Night Shift 5-3.
