Monday 21st July - Worcester Round Up
The Worcester Monday Night 6-a-side Football League concluded its 14-week season in a thrilling fashion as three division champions were crowned in a night of intense action across Premier League, Division 1, and Division 2.
In the Premier League, team Phoenix and Châteauneuf-du-Pape engaged in a fierce battle, with the latter clinching the victory 2-1. RR FC fell 2-5 to Pepe Pig, while Weatherbeaver Fc secured a 2-1 win against Woodgreen FC. Emerging as the titan of the Premier League was team Châteauneuf-du-Pape. With a total of 19 points from 9 wins, they proved their mettle and claimed the well-deserved Premier League title.
Division 1 saw GSE lose to Daddy Ben 0-2, while Is Your Motherwell secured a 3-1 win against Full Kit Yankers. UTR FC fell short to SJL 6s with a scoreline of 1-4, and Salty Sea-Men edged out a 1-0 win over Purkinje Fibres. The standout team in this division was Salty Sea-Men. With an impressive 10 wins and a total of 22 points, they triumphed as the Division 1 champions.
In Division 2, Intern Milan and Unathletico Bilbao played out a thrilling 2-2 draw. Unathletico Madrid were narrowly defeated by We Lose Evra Week 1-2. Despite their ironic name, We Lose Evra Week, came out on top in Division 2, amassing 22 points from 10 wins.
