Monday 22nd April - Worcester Round-Up

it was a good end to the season in the Worcester Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled across the three divisions for the final round of the campaign.

In the Premier League, Monday Knights obliterated Class on Artificial Grass with a resounding 9-1 victory. Not far behind was the exhilarating match between Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Phoenix ending in a 2-2 draw. Sporting Abeergut overcame Brap FC 4-2, while Daddy Ben defeated What Team Name with a scoreline of 3-1. After a competitive league, Phoenix emerged as the champions of the Premier League Division with an impressive total of 21 points and 10 wins.

Over in Division 1, drama unfolded as Woodgreen FC narrowly beat Inter Ya Nan 2-1, and CWLC FC triumphed over Full Kit Yankers 3-1. Salty Sea-Men seared past Texas Oldham 3-1, while Pepe Pig nudged out a 2-1 win over Exeter Gently. With 24 points and 12 wins, CWLC FC emerged as the victors of Division 1.

The energy in Division 2 was palpable as Real SoSoBad secured a 3-2 victory against Purkinje Fibres. Monner Athletic defeated Backstreet Moyes 4-2, while GSE edged past Unathletico Madrid 2-1. Monner Athletic claimed the Division 2 title with 24 points and 11 wins.
