Monday 29th January - Worcester Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Sixways Monday 6 a side league this week with all 24 teams in attendance for their matches across the three divisions as scheduled and some well competed games played throughout the night.

In the Premier League division, Monday Knights clinched a narrow 3-2 victory over Phoenix in a thrilling match that had spectators on their toes till the very end. Sporting Abeergut and What Team Name ended their clash in a 2-2 draw, while Daddy Ben outplayed Class On Artificial Grass with a convincing 5-2 victory. Châteauneuf-du-Pape managed to scrape past Athletico Pathetico with a 1-0 win, proving that every goal counts in this competitive league.

In Division 1, Texas Oldham bested Pepe Pig 3-2 in a nail-biting encounter, while Full Kit Yankers outclassed Crouch Potato with a convincing 7-1 victory. Salty Sea-Men and Woodgreen FC grappled for dominance, but neither team could break the deadlock, ending the match in a 0-0 draw. CWLC FC dominated their match, crushing Inter Ya Nan with a whopping 7-1 victory.

Meanwhile, in Division 2, Monner Athletic secured a clean 3-0 victory against Unathletico Madrid. Real SoSoBad and Backstreet Moyes offered a high scoring bout, ending in a narrow 6-5 win for Backstreet Moyes. Chunk And The 7 Dwarves took down Indra 3-1, and GSE fell to Uow Futsal 2 with a close 2-1 scoreline.
