Monday 30th March - Worcester Round-Up

A good evening's football in the Worcester Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance throughout the night.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE LEAGUE IS CANCELLED FOR ONE WEEK ON MONDAY 6TH APRIL DUE TO EASTER BANK HOLIDAY.  WE RETURN AS PER FIXTURES ONLINE FROM MONDAY 13TH APRIL AND LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING EVERYONE BACK FOR THESE MATCHES.  WE HOPE EVERYONE HAS A CRACKING EASTER.

In the Premier League, Châteauneuf-du-Pape set a high standard for the season with a decisive 10-0 victory over Woodgreen FC. Stroke Titty also put up an impressive show, securing a 7-3 win against Daddy Ben. Gruppo Select and Phoenix followed suit, registering wins over Salty Sea-Men and Is Your Motherwell, respectively.

In Division 1, the competition was fierce. UTR FC began their campaign with a strong 4-1 win over BTD, while Unathletico Madrid trounced Cathedral Cheese AFC 6-2. Full Kit Yankers bested Scorgasms 4-2, and Pepe Pig held their ground with a 4-2 victory against Molester City.

The excitement was not limited to the top divisions, with Division 2 showcasing its competitive spirit. Tupsley FCC triumphed over City Boys 3-1, while Smeggy Hole FC defeated DuckDo FC 6-3. The high scoring trend continued with Net-six N Chill claiming a convincing 6-1 win over Formation Unknown. Lastly, GSE pulled off a 5-1 win against Indian Park.

As the season has just begun, it is too early to predict the top scorers for each division. Nonetheless, the first week has set the tone for the upcoming matches, and we can expect to see some spectacular action in the coming weeks.
