Monday 7th July - Worcester Round-Up

It was a good evening's football overall in the Worcester Monday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance barring two.  SJL 6's called to cancel and return as normal next week, whilst we have removed Bumfica for their second consecutive failure to attend.

We welcome new team Pershore Plums to the league as a replacement for the above, wishing them good luck going into their first game on Monday 14th July.

In the Premier League, Pepe Pig edged out Châteauneuf-du-Pape in a high-octane match that ended 5-4. The night also saw Phoenix and Class On Artificial Grass settle for a draw in a tightly contested game that ended 2-2. RR FC, however, emerged victorious over Woodgreen FC with a final score of 6-4.

In Division 1, Daddy Ben narrowly secured a 4-3 win against Full Kit Yankers, marking a significant victory in their season campaign. The game between Salty Sea-Men and Is Your Motherwell ended in a goalless draw, whereas Purkinje Fibres had a decisive 4-1 triumph over UTR FC.

Over in Division 2, Unathletico Bilbao dominated the pitch against FC Past It, securing a 9-1 victory. Ashton FC came out on top against Intern Milan with a 3-1 win. Monner Athletic beat We Lose Evra Week 5-1, and Unathletico Madrid ended the night with a 5-3 win over The Salt Men.
