Tuesday 22nd February - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Worcester Tuesday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some excellent football played across both divisions.

There was a shock in the Premier Division as leaders All Star Rejects suffered defeat for the second week running, and the third time in five games!  Centurions secured a 1-0 win over them this week as the notoriously difficult to break down team proved just that, picking up a vital win which should now keep them up.  Nutty Marauders are now within three points of the leaders, something that seemed almost impossible a few weeks ago, they were 5-4 victors over Murder on Zidane's Floor in a thrilling game. 

Third placed Boi FC played out an entertaining 2-2 draw with Crouch Potatoes, they lost ground on second place but gained a point advantage on fourth placed Gangs of Dwight Yorke who suffered a 1-0 reverse at the hands of Purge FC.  New boys Woo Town Wanderers faced Dynamo Kebab in their first game, and it was a thrilling ten goal game in which Kebab ran out 7-3 winners!

Bell FC continue their impressive run of form since joining in Division One, they lead the way having won their last five games in a row so fully deserved, this week they were 5-1 victors over Norfolk N Chance.  NCO FC suffered a 1-0 defeat against mid-table Battenhall Wanderers this week, a result which sees them lose ground on the leaders, and third place close the gap on them to a single point as Scranny Bao were 3-2 winners over RB Old Boys.  

New team Scimitar Sports had some issues getting to the venue this week due to the local flooding, but they will be starting with us next Tuesday 29th February.
