Tuesday 23rd May - Worcester Round-Up

It was another fantastic evening in the fine May sunshine in the Worcester Tuesday 6 a side league this week, as game week 12 of the campaign saw all 24 teams in attendance for their fixtures throughout the night across all three divisions.  The below match round-up catches up on another entertaining week of action!

Premier Division:

Sheffield Tuesday showcased their dominance with an emphatic 6-0 victory over the Green Army. The Sheffield squad proved to be a cut above, leaving their opponents green with envy as they secured a resounding win.

In a thrilling encounter, the All Star Rejects continued their remarkable run by defeating the Nutty Marauders 7-3. With this victory, the Rejects clinched the championship title, leaving their rivals with little to do but shout in frustration. Their four-point lead and impressive goal difference put them in an unassailable position with just two games left to play.

RB Old Boys faced a formidable challenge against Haywood Jablowme, but unfortunately, they fell short, succumbing to a 1-4 defeat. The Old Boys struggled to contain the attacking prowess of Haywood Jablowme, who proved that age is just a number when it comes to scoring goals.

Crouch Potatoes and Dynamo Kebab battled it out on the field, with the latter emerging victorious with a 2-0 win. The Crouch Potatoes couldn't find their rhythm and ended up getting skewered by the dynamism of the Kebabs.

Division One:

BOI F.C. and Expected Toulouse shared the spoils in an evenly contested match that ended in a 1-1 draw. Both teams put in a spirited effort, but neither could claim full bragging rights, settling for a well-fought draw.

Snorting Lisbon displayed their mettle by edging out Gruppo Select in a tight encounter, winning 2-1. Despite the defeat, Gruppo Select managed to hold onto their top spot, but the gap at the summit narrowed to a nerve-wracking two points as Purge FC secured a victory.

Only Fools and Scousers faced a tough challenge against Purge FC, who proved their mettle with a convincing 3-1 triumph. The Foolish Scousers were left scratching their heads as Purge FC cleaned up on the pitch, leaving no room for tomfoolery.

In a thrilling clash, Warndon Heath and Joel Touchmatip fought tooth and nail, with the latter emerging victorious with a narrow 3-2 win. It was a game where every touch mattered, and Joel Touchmatip came out on top, leaving Warndon Heath ruing missed opportunities.

Division Two:

Centurions FC showed their dominance with an impressive 5-1 victory over Exeter Slowly. The Centurions displayed their relentless energy and precision, leaving their opponents trailing in their wake.

TeamBlue FC struggled to contain Goals Aloud, who ran rampant on the field, scoring five goals and sealing a comprehensive 5-1 win. It was a goal bonanza for Goals Aloud, leaving TeamBlue feeling blue.

Busty Badgers proved too strong for HIV Eindhoven, securing a solid 2-0 win. The Badgers showcased their defensive prowess, leaving their opponents feeling flat and unable to penetrate their sturdy backline.

In a closely contested encounter, Inter Ya Nan went head-to-head with BDS FC, but it was BDS FC who emerged victorious with an emphatic 5-1 win. BDS FC leapfrogged Inter Ya Nan in the table, proving that they were more than just a flash in the pan.
