Tuesday 31st January - Worcester Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Tuesday 6 a side league this week as we had all 24 teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night across all three divisions.

The top three in the Premier Division all won again this week as they remain separated by a solitary point as the title could go any way as it stands.  All Star Rejects continue to lead the way on goal difference, which they boosted further by way of an 8-2 victory over Green Army, whilst Dynamo Kebab claimed a well earned 3-0 win over Purge.  Third placed Murder on Zidane's Floor are very much in the hunt and they themselves romped to a 7-0 win over Joel Touchmatip.  Their next two games are crucial as they face the two directly above them.  Last but by no means least was the nine goal thriller in which Nutty Marauders ran out 6-3 victors over Crouch Potatoes, they are only two points off the pace themselves.

Division One leaders RB Old Boys saw their lead cut to just two points as they were shocked by Prawn Hub who claimed a 1-0 victory over the leaders, allowing second placed Sheffield Tuesday right back into the title race as they were 7-3 victors over Tupsley.  New side Expected Toulouse look a useful addition themselves as they beat third placed Boi FC 3-1, whilst Asbo FC climbed to fourth following a 2-1 victory against Centurions.

Division Two saw a massive result at the top as Snorting Lisbon went to the summit on goal difference at the expense of Warndon Heath whom they beat by a convincing 4-1 scoreline.  Third placed 6White1Brown move to within two points of the top two after they were 5-0 winners over Inter Ya Nan. Busty Badgers leapfrogged their opponents into fourth place as they were 3-1 winners against Chicken Tikka Mo Salah, whilst Notinyourmoms Forest completed the action as they beat HIV Eindhoven convincingly 5-2.

We thank all teams for their continued reliability and commitment towards the league which is ensuring we run smoothly each week, and are delighted to see the league full to capacity once again.
