Tuesday 24th May - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Tuesday 6 a side league this week, which saw all 20 teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night across both divisions and some closely contested matches played.

There is a new leader in the Premier Division as Purge FC were 2-0 winners over Boi FC, moving them up from third place.  They swap places with All Star Rejects who suffered a surprise 3-0 defeat against Dynamo Kebab who move up to fifth place.

NCO FC keep their place in second as they shared the spoils with Crouch Potatoes in a game that ended 1-1.  Nutty Marauders moved into fourth place in a top half of the division that is becoming closer week by week, they sit three points off the leaders after a 2-1 win over bottom side Centurions FC.  Completing the action but by no means least was the bottom half battle between Scranny Bao and Bell FC which was a thrilling encounter that ended 6-3 to Scranny!

Division One leaders Murder on Zidane's Floor made it 9 not out although they were made to work for it this week, eventually edging past Wootownwanderers by a single goal to keep their 100% record intact.  Second placed Worcester Saints got back to winning ways this week and eased past Haywood Jablowme by 6 goals to 2 to remain four points off the leaders.  Green Army moved into third place and ahead of the beaten Wootown this week, they were 4-3 winners over Zouma's KitKats as they got their fifth win in six games.

Other action saw sixth placed RB Old Boys collect an impressive 4-1 win over Battenhall Wanderers as their unbeaten run extends to five games.  New boys Asbo FC picked up their first point since joining three weeks ago as they shared the spoils with Warndon Heath in a 2-2 draw.

We look forward to seeing all teams in attendance for their games on Tuesday 31st May which is game week 10 of the season.
