Wednesday 10th May - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was another thrilling round of matches in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league on the 10th of May, with some exciting results and tense moments on display. The Premier Division saw league leaders BRAP FC take on Wednesday Social, in a game that promised to be a cracker. Both teams gave it their all, but it was BRAP FC who came out on top in the end, edging Wednesday Social 6-5 in a goal-fest.


Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Coral FC moved into second place with a hard-fought 4-3 win over Small Pond FC, while Expecting Toulouse defeated Fatletico 4-2 in what turned out to be the latter's last game in the league.


In Division One, Nunney Wood Veterans kept their promotion hopes alive with a resounding 7-0 win over Gotta Die For 3 Pints, while Cats on Bikes continued their winning streak with a 5-2 victory over Enter Team Name FC. Lads on Toure, who remain top of the table on goal difference alone, overcame Lucuzade Sports 3-0 to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.


Division Two saw league leaders Cottagemixedgrill FC thrash Manchesthair Unkotted 6-0, while Sporting Bad Haircuts defeated Bley You Off The Park 2-0 to move within one point of the top. Tupsley FCC lost 1-3 to Nag Shuts FC in a closely contested encounter.


In Division Three, Murder on Zidanes Floor maintained their lead at the top of the table with a hard-fought 3-2 win over Barbz Brummie FC, while Moistcabbage cruised to a 4-0 win over Banditos FC. Warndon FC overcame Fred West Ham 4-1, while Arrowxl FC were held to a 1-1 draw by Rybrook FC.


As we head into game week 9 of the campaign, there are some changes to the teams. In the Premier Division, Fatletico have withdrawn and will be replaced by Scranny Bao 2. In Division Two, Bifta Lifta United have been removed due to discipline issues and will be replaced by Benchwarmers Utd. Lastly, in Division Three, Barbz Brummie have withdrawn and will be replaced by Largentina.
