Wednesday 13th August - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was a good evening's football once again in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league, with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled.

In the Premier League, Jeet Army defeated UP THE ALMA in a high-scoring match, sealing a 7-4 victory. Further, Lucozade Sports edged Dream Team 2-1, while Stroke Titty squeezed past Boiler Leverkusen with a close 3-2 win. In a low scoring affair, Pickle Pinchers managed to secure a 1-0 victory over Coral FC.

Division 1 saw Nutty Marauders and Zoumas Cats both exhibiting dominant performances with 2-0 victories against Ricks Rejects and Tupsley FCC respectively. Bert United secured a narrow 2-1 win against Wednesday Social while AFC Young Boys defeated Expecting Toulouse 4-2.

Moving to Division 2, Enter Team Name FC solidly beat Claines FC 3-1, whereas The Ninja Skrtels outpaced Young Boys United 6-4 in a thrilling encounter. Sporting Abeergut edged past 2 Subs 1 Cup 3-1, and Mia KhaFifa secured a tight victory over Barely Athletic with a 4-3 score.

In Division 3, Cry Me A River Plate convincingly overpowered Exeter Gently with a 5-2 victory. Inter Ya Nan blanked Cathedral Cheese AFC 3-0, while Knots County FC and MOIST CABBAGE played out a 1-1 draw. In a high-scoring spectacle, Bench Warmers FC and The Crouch Potatoes ended in a 6-6 draw.

We welcome new team Paris Ganja Man to the league from Wednesday 20th August, they replace the outgoing Rick's Rejects and we wish them good luck going into their first fixture.
