Wednesday 16th February - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was another good evening's football in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league this week at Sixways Stadium, with all 24 teams braving the terrible conditions for their weekly game!

El Nino moved to the top of the Premier Division on goal difference alone as they thrashed The Rifes 8-1, whilst previous leaders and champions Priestlane Wanderers were made to work hard for their points, as Pershite put in a battling performance, 1-0 to Priestlane the final score.  Sporting a Beergut moved up to third and above this weeks opponents FC Marshelona whom they convincingly beat by 5 goals to 1, whilst The Charvas and Brap FC played out a thriller as both shared the spoils in a 4-4 draw!

Cheese Gromit stay top of the Division One table on goal difference alone, as they were 3-1 winners over Bishy FC who now hover just above the drop zone.  Second placed Wednesday Social stay level on points with the leaders, they battled to a 4-2 win over Expecting Toulouse, whilst Make 6 a side Great Again now sit in third place following an entertaining 3-2 win against Get Your Klopp Out!  Lads on Toure rounded off the action as they moved clearer of the drop zone, beating bottom of the table We Never Win by a single goal.

Division Two has opened up somewhat as the top two both got beat this week!  Leaders Paris Ganjaman tasted defeat for the first time, losing 4-3 to 2 Girls 1 Schlupp, whilst Coral FC were on the receiving end of a 2-0 defeat to Warriors Staff who now sit two points off them!  Cheeky Naldos all took advantage with a 5-0 win against Gotta Die For 3 Pints as they complete the trio of teams just 2 points off the summit!  Largentina sit in sixth after securing their second win of the campaign, beating Sixual Deviants 3-1!
