Wednesday 16th July - Worcester Round-Up

A fantastic evening's football was enjoyed by all in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches across all four divisions, the only disappointment to this being Leavemyarselona and Spa Dec FC, both of which have now been removed.

With the above in mind, we are delighted to welcome TWO NEW TEAMS to the league effective Wednesday 23rd July.  We wish City Dads and Rick's Rejects good luck going into their first fixtures with us.

In the Premier League division, Pickle Pinchers dominated the field with a 4-0 victory against Lucozade Sports. UP THE ALMA scored a close 1-0 win against Coral FC, underlining their championship ambitions. In a high-scoring game, Jeet Army overcame Stroke Titty with a thrilling 8-6 scoreline.

The Division 1 results were a mix of surprise and dominance. Zoumas Cats trounced Expecting Toulouse with a commanding 6-1 victory, while Nutty Marauders managed a 2-0 win against Wednesday Social. Demonstrating their dominance, Bert United secured a decisive 4-0 win against Tupsley FCC.

Division 2 saw The Ninja Skrtels edge out Mia KhaFifa in a 4-3 win. Enter Team Name FC registered a 3-1 win against Young Boys United, and Sporting Abeergut barely overcame Claines FC with a 1-0 scoreline. Barely Athletic had a comfortable 2-0 win against 2 Subs 1 Cup.

Division 3 had its fair share of excitement. Inter Ya Nan triumphed over MOIST CABBAGE with a resounding 8-2 victory. Cathedral Cheese AFC and Cry Me A River Plate ended in a thrilling 3-3 draw. The Crouch Potatoes and Bench Warmers FC dominated their matches, scoring 10-2 against Exeter Gently and 8-4 against Knots County FC respectively.
