Wednesday 17th April - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was a fantastic end to the season in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for the final games of the season and titles still to be decided in some divisions.

In the top-tier Premier League, Worcester Saints carried the day with an impressive 10-0 victory over Coral FC, ending the season on a high note with 24 points and 12 wins. Their offensive prowess was on full display and ensured they took the title by a 2 point margin.

The Division 1 crown was claimed by Wednesday Social, despite a narrow 3-2 defeat to Nunnery Wood Veterans it was enough to see them crowned champions at the expense of their opponents who needed a couple more goals to take the title on goal difference, a pulsating way to end the season though with drama till the death.

In Division 2, Ice Ice Babies remained unphased with a 4-4 draw against Murder On ZIdanes Floor. Despite the draw, their impressive campaign earned them the league title with a total tally of 25 points and 11 wins, making them the top scoring team in their division and seeing them go unbeaten for the campaign.

Boca Seniors led the charge in Division 3, celebrating a 6-2 victory over The Cherry Charvas. Their remarkable season concluded with 24 points and 12 wins, positioning them as the undisputed champions of their division in their debut season.

The new season will kick off on Wednesday 24th April and all fixtures will be published for the campaign ahead in the next 24 hours.
