Wednesday 19th July - Worcester Round-Up

It was another superb evening's football in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled, barring a couple of cancellations.

Rybrook FC have now withdrawn from Division Three due to a lack of players.  This has opened up ONE EXTREMELY RARE VACANCY so any interested teams are urged to sign up and claim this!

On to the action -

In the Premier Division, Dales Sixes proved their dominance with a convincing 3-0 victory against CottageMixedGrill FC, leaving their opponents burned out at the full time whistle as Dales claimed a third win in four.

Enter Team Name FC secured a 2-0 win over Wednesday Social, thanks to their clinical finishing. New Inn FC narrowly edged out Largentina with a 2-1 scoreline, displaying their resilience and determination to secure the win.

Meanwhile, Coral FC and Cats On Bikes engaged in a goal-fest, with Coral FC emerging as victors with a staggering 10-6 scoreline. The match was a showcase of attacking brilliance, with both teams finding the back of the net effortlessly, defending was definitely not the order of the day in this one!

In Division 1, Lucozade Sports put on a dominant display, demolishing Expecting Toulouse by a resounding 7-0 margin as they look to go one better this season and claim promotion to the top flight, they are on course for that with a 100% record so far. Elsewhere, Ooo Aah Slavia narrowly defeated Nag Shuts FC with a 3-2 score, showcasing their ability to hold on to a close victory, whilst Nunnery Wood Veterans displayed their experience and skill, securing a comfortable 4-0 win against We Will Spoon You.

Division 2 witnessed some fiercely contested matches, with ARROWXL FC emerging victorious with a 3-1 win over Bley You Off The Park. Bench Warmers FC showcased their defensive resilience, securing a 3-0 victory against Gotta Die For 3 Pints. UP THE ALMA narrowly defeated Murder On Zidanes Floor with a slender 1-0 margin, whilst Tupsley FCC rounded of the action and displayed their attacking prowess, securing a 4-1 victory against Sporting Bad Haircuts.

In Division 3, Warndon FC delivered a resounding 12-1 victory over MoistCABBAGE, showing clinical finishing and scoring practically every time they went forward.  Banditos FC and Ice Ice Babies played out a tense 1-1 draw, showcasing their defensive abilities, whilst Gangsters Allardyce secured a hard-fought 1-0 win against Severn Wasters, highlighting their ability to grind out results.

We thank all teams for their continued commitment and reliability towards the league, and wish all good luck going into game week 5 of the campaign with Worcester's premier and exclusive providers of small sided football!
