Wednesday 23rd February - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled once again, the only exception to this being a cancellation from Make 6 a side Great Again who have confirmed their return on Wednesday 2nd March.

El Nino FC stay top of the Premier Division following their impressive 5-1 win over Sporting a Beergut, although they are only ahead of Priestlane Wanderers on goal difference at this stage, as they were 2-1 winners over FC Marshelona in a tightly contested match.  Those two results put a bit of daylight between the top two and the rest of the table at this stage of the season.  Brap FC climbed off the bottom of the table as they secured a 3-2 win over Pershite, whilst The Charvas dropped to the foot of the table after suffering a hefty 7-3 defeat at the hands of The Rifes who sit in mid-table.

Wednesday Social won the battle of the top two in Division One to climb to the summit ahead of Cheese Gromit whom they beat convincingly by a 5-2 score line.  Lads on Toure edged past Get Your Klopp Out by a single goal to move into fourth spot, and We Never Win and Bishy FC shared the spoils in a goalless draw.

Division Two leaders Paris Ganja Man atoned for their defeat last week as they thrashed Largentina by 11 goals to 1.  Coral FC remain joint top and sit second only because of goal difference, they were also big winners over Sixual Deviants whom they thrashed 8-1.  Warriors Staff keep the pressure on the top two who they sit two points behind, they edged past Cheeky Naldos by a 2-1 score line, whilst fourth placed 2 Girls 1 Schlupp were 3-1 victors over Gotta Die For 3 Pints to keep alive their hopes of promotion.

We wish all teams good luck going into next weeks games with Worcester's premier providers of small sided football!
