Wednesday 28th February - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league at Sixways this week, with all 32 teams in attendance once again and some well competed matches played throughout the night across the four divisions.

In the Premier League, Worcester Saints made a grand statement by routing UP THE ALMA 8-0, in a stunning show of dominance. Gangsters Allardyce and Lucozade Sports both secured 5-2 victories against Coral FC and Mia KhaFifa respectively, with 6 Lads 1 Cup V2 narrowly edging past Real Mature 4-2 in an exciting encounter.

Division 1 was not short of action either. Claines FC took the top spot after their impressive 3-1 victory over Enter Team Name FC. Their attacking prowess lit up the pitch, as did Nag Shuts FC's in their 4-1 win against Wednesday Social. However, it was Leavemyarsealona who caught everyone's attention with a sensational 9-1 thrashing of Skylas Best Friends List.

Division 2 saw a captivating defensive display from Perdiswell Lynx, who secured a clean sheet in their 3-0 triumph over Paris Ganja Man. Murder On Zidanes Floor managed a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Expecting Toulouse, while Sporting Bad Haircuts walked away with a 2-0 win against Bley You Off The Park.

Meanwhile, Division 3 exhibited some of the finest attacking football of the night. Gotta Die For 3 Pints overwhelmed STUDS ON STUDS with a 5-1 win, while Unathlectico Madrid and Tolly Bashers both secured 5-2 and 5-1 victories against The Cherry Charvas and Bench Warmers FC, respectively. Boca Seniors also put in a solid performance to earn a 3-0 victory against Severn Wasters.
