Wednesday 29th November - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was another fantastic evening's football in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league this week overall, with all teams in attendance barring two late cancellations.  We thank Unathletico Madrid and Meat Batch for making contact with us and look forward to seeing them return on Wednesday 6th December!

In other news, after completing their withdrawal notice, PT Football have now withdrawn from Division Two.  We are pleased to welcome new team Tolly Bashers into the league as their replacement and wish these good luck going into their first fixture on 6th December.

In the Premier League, the tightest match saw Wednesday Social edge past Ooo Aah Slavia 5-4 in a clash that kept spectators on their toes till the very end. Elsewhere, CottageMixedGrill FC dominated Enter Team Name FC with a decisive 7-2 victory, while Dales Sixes managed to scrape past Worcester Saints 1-0, and Coral FC defeated Lucozade Sports 5-3.

In Division 1, Expecting Toulouse outplayed Leavemyarsealona with a 7-4 triumph while UP THE ALMA defeated Nunnery Wood Veterans 3-1. However, the most gripping match of the division was the 1-1 draw between Nag Shuts FC and Claines FC.

Division 2 witnessed some exciting football with Bley You Off The Park thrashing Perdiswell Lynx 5-0 while Murder On Zidanes Floor secured a solid 4-1 victory against PT Football. Sporting Bad Haircuts also had reason to celebrate, edging Monner United 2-1 in a closely fought encounter.

In Division 3, Ice Ice Babies showed no mercy as they blanked Misfits FC 5-0. Gotta Die For 3 Pints ousted Severn Wasters 5-3 and STUDS ON STUDS outclassed The Cherry Charvas 3-1 in the other noteworthy matches.

Thanks as ever to all teams for their continued commitment and reliability towards the league.  We look forward to welcoming everyone to game week 10 with Worcester's premier providers of small sided football!
