Wednesday 2nd February - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was another good evening's football overall in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league at Sixways, with all teams in attendance except Barcaloners which is unusual, they will be spoken to accordingly to confirm their return on Wednesday 9th February.

We welcomed new team Pershite to the Premier Division this week, and they gave a good account of themselves in their debut game against Sporting a Beergut who've enjoyed a solid start to the season since promotion, Sporting running out eventual 3-1 winners but the new boys look a solid addition.

There has been no let up since the season start from last seasons winners Priestlane Wanderers, a 5-0 thrashing of The Rifes their latest result to continue their perfect start to the campaign.  El Nino, buoyed by their Runners-Up prize draw win moved into second spot this week as they were 5-3 victors over The Charvas in an entertaining game, whilst FC Marshelona moved into third place after their comfortable 2-0 win against Brap FC.

Wednesday Social also have a 100% record after three matches, they top Division One for another week after cruising to a 3-0 win over Lads on Toure.  Expecting Toulouse moved into second spot and above this weeks opponents Cheese Gromit who they beat 5-2 in an entertaining game.  Get Your Klopp out climbed off the bottom of the table by the skin of their teeth, a 1-1 draw against Bishy FC enough to ensure they move to seventh on goal difference.

Paris Ganjaman look a dominant force since joining Division Two, they are yet to concede this campaign having notched a hefty 19 goals in three games, Warriors Staff the latest victims by 5 goals to nil.  Coral FC also have a 100% record as they look like another serious promotion contender, they were 3-0 winners against Cheeky Naldos.  2 Girls 1 Schlupp are now in third place after edging a five goal thriller 3-2 against Sixual Deviants, whilst Largentina got their season up and running, picking up their first points in the form of a 5-2 win over Gotta Die For 3 Pints.
