Wednesday 30th July - Worcester Sixways Round-Up

It was another superb evening's football in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches and some well competed games played throughout the night.

We thank all teams for their cooperation and understanding, at the late notice of bringing all fixture times forward 20 minutes due to the floodlights being out of action, your help with this is very much appreciated and ensured that the league went ahead without issue.

In the Premier League, Stroke Titty emerged victorious against Dream Team with a clean sheet, 4-0, marking their dominance. Coral FC also showed their class by defeating Boiler Leverkusen 3-0. However, Lucozade Sports and Pickle Pinchers stood out with commanding performances, scoring 8 and 9 goals respectively against Jeet Army and UP THE ALMA, displaying an offensive prowess that will unquestionably make future opponents nervous.

The Division 1 matches were equally exciting. Expecting Toulouse stunned Ricks Rejects with an emphatic 7-0 victory. Wednesday Social and Tupsley FCC offered a hotly contested match, with Tupsley eventually prevailing 5-3.

In Division 2, Mia KhaFifa shone with a 6-2 victory over Claines FC, while 2 Subs 1 Cup triumphed 4-2 against Young Boys United in a thrilling encounter.

Meanwhile, in Division 3, the Crouch Potatoes and Bench Warmers FC impressed with 5-3 and 4-3 victories over Knots County FC and Cathedral Cheese AFC respectively. In a tight fixture, Exeter Gently managed to edge past MOIST CABBAGE with a 1-0 win.

We approach the half way point of the season in Worcester next week, and wish all teams good luck heading into these matches.
