Wednesday 31st January - Worcester Round-Up
Overall it was a good evening's football in the Worcester Wednesday 6 a side league this week which saw all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night across all four divisions.
Unfortunately due to the conduct of several of their players 'Hot Steppaz' have been removed from the league with immediate effect. We make it clear that violent conduct will not be tolerated within Leisure Leagues, and the behaviour shown by numerous players of theirs is totally unacceptable.
Coral FC continued their impressive form, putting 4 past UP THE ALMA without reply. Gangsters Allardyce edged out a victory over Lucozade Sports in a tightly contested match, while Anime Lovers had a tough debut game against Worcester Saints who put them to the sword by 10 goals to 2.
Over in Division 1, Wednesday Social displayed an impressive performance with a 4-1 win over Tupsley FCC. Nag Shuts FC and Leavemyarsealona also emerged victorious, while Nunnery Wood Veterans delivered a masterclass in their 7-0 thumping of Skylas Best Friends List.
In Division 2, Perdiswell Lynx were outclassed by Murder On Zidanes Floor, who bagged a 3-1 win. Paris Ganja Man and Ice Ice Babies shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, while Misfits FC suffered a defeat against Monner United. Expecting Toulouse also drew 1-1 against Sporting Bad Haircuts.
The action in Division 3 saw Boca Seniors pick up a 2-0 victory against Unathlectico Madrid, while Severn Wasters narrowly won over STUDS ON STUDS. The night’s most pulsating clash was between Tolly Bashers and Gotta Die For 3 Pints, with the former emerging victorious 5-4. The Cherry Charvas lost 6-4 to Bench Warmers FC in a high-scoring thriller.
